Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!
I am raising funds to support a cause that is important to me while accomplishing a personal goal to complete the Teton Grand Traverse in Grand Teton National Park.
This is no ordinary hiking expedition. It is a three-day, high-altitude adventure over some of the biggest summits in Grand Teton National Park. Most alpine routes in the lower 48 involve only a summit or two. The traverse hits ten, with us climbing above 12,000 feet for most of the trip, with views across the park and into Yellowstone.
With such an epic challenge in front of me, I want to also make it about more than just the climb, which is why I have chosen to raise funds to support Autism Speaks. Please consider supporting me with a donation!
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 1 in 68 children is on the autism spectrum.
Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span.
Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal. Your support is greatly appreciated!
