Peter's Puzzle Solvers
Peter's Puzzle Solvers walk in support of Peter and his Autism Spectrum diagnosis. It is our mission as a family to help bring further understanding, awareness and acceptance of what the Autism Spectrum is and how it impacts individuals and their familes.
Peter is a loveable, opinonated and resilient 8 year old. He loves to play videogames, all things involving superheros, telling creative stories and most of all he loves being with and aorund his family.
When Peter was 18 months old, there were specific milestones that we noticed he was not meeting such as speaking and not responding to his name, among some other things. Once we brought this to the attention of his pediatrician, the journey towards receivng a diagnosis began. When Peter was 2 years old, he was officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Three months after Peter was diagnosed, he began Autism Behavioral Analysis Therapy (ABA Therapy) and to this day, 6 years later, he continues with ABA Therapy five days a week for a total of 25 hours a week. The growth we have seen in all that Peter has accomplished and continues to accomplish through his therapy is simply amazing. We are blessed to have one of the best therapy teams in Florida working with him everyday at Nemours Children's Hospital.
We are asking for your support in helping bring awareness, understanding and acceptance to Autism Spectrum Disorder so we can help ensure an accepting and successful future for Peter. Your donation and contribution to Peter's Puzzle Solvers will aid in this effort in addition to providing much needed support to children and families needing to gain the services that Peter has been blessed to have. This cause is one where everyone wins!
