More About the Denver Walk
A Guide to Walk Day & Quiet Zone
Sometimes the environment at an Autism Speaks Walk can become overwhelming for people with sensory sensitivities. All of our walks allow access to a quiet space that can be used as a safe outlet if you or your loved one living with autism becomes overwhelmed.
Volunteers play a critical role in raising funds and awareness for the Autism Speaks Denver Walk. Opportunities include serving on the Executive Leadership Team or the Walk Planning Committee. The Executive Leadership Team will help recruit media partners and corporate partners that will sponsor the Walk and form teams at their companies. While the Walk Planning Committee will help create a meaningful and fun experience for everyone attending the event. Finding the right fit for you is key to our success! To learn more, contact Shelby Dopp Smith at (720) 231-2163 or email@example.com.
Raise $2500 or more by April 6, 2018, and your team will receive reserved space in the Autism Speaks Denver Walk Team Village! Along with your space you will also receive a table and two chairs, an "I Walk For" sign, and a special thank you gift for achieving this amazing milestone.
The Grand Club
What is the Grand Club?
Raise $1,000 or more individually and you'll become a member of the Grand Club! Special benefits will include: Your name listed on the Denver Walk website, a Commemorative Grand Club Pin, an invitation to the Grand Club/VIP tent on Walk Day, and much more!
Lend a helping hand on the day of the Autism Speaks Denver Walk! Day of Event volunteers assist in many capacities - helping set-up the morning of the event, checking in participants, providing encouragement at water stops and cleaning up after the event. Your support will help reduce event costs and drive more funds directly to the mission. There are two ways you can get involved:
Volunteer as a Team
Recruit your friends, family and coworkers to form a volunteer team. We'll do our best to assign you to the same area so you can spend the day together. Please remind each member of your team to register online so that we know how many people to plan for. Include your team name in the available field and we will know you are together.
Volunteer as an Individual
Make new friends as you play an integral role in making the Autism Speaks Denver Walk event a success.
You can also volunteer before the Walk. Select this option toward the bottom of the form. We will put you in touch with the Autism Speaks Staff so they can help you get more involved.
