Why I Walk for Autism Speaks
Our daughter, Kyndall Patterson, suffers from various neurological and developmental issues, including Autism. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Kyndall or seeing her from a distance, she’s always happy, usually with her headphones on, sometimes holding up with looks like the peace sign and you may hear her say “yep, yep” at random times. When she gets overwhelmed by the number of people around her, she bites her nails, has a look of fear in her eyes and she wants to flee to something familiar. She’s autistic.
Once again, our family invites you to join us again as we walk to raise money to fund medical research, to bring changes through legislation and to provide resources to help those who are living with autism in the 2019 Autism Speaks Walk. We invite you to help our team, Kyndalls Smile, either through walking or making a tax-deductible donation to the Walk. The 1.5 mile walk will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Atlantic Station. If you are interested in walking or making a donation, please visit our daughter’s team page, “Kyndalls Smile”, at
http://act.autismspeaks.org/goto/teamkyndallssmile. Last year, your support helped us raise over $3,400
for autism research. Let’s do it again in 2019!
Thank you for your support and may God bless you!
