Why I Walk for Autism Speaks
WE WALK because now 1 in 68 children is diagnosed with Autism.
******1 in 42 boys is diagnosed with Autism.
WE WALK because caring for children with special needs can be at times overwhelming, exhausting and complex.
WE WALK because often families and caregivers struggle to find the resources and services their child and family may need.
The Autism Speaks walk is a fun event that our whole family loves to participate in every year. We’d love for YOU to join us. The walk is at Atlantic Station in Downtown Atlanta on April 28th. There’s going to be entertainment, face painting, snacks and more! This is not a race. Feel free to go at your own pace: walk, run, cycle, etc. The best part of all? It’s supporting a wonderful cause. 100% of the proceeds go directly back into the community for autism families. Autism Speaks provides so many amazing programs and support for those that need it and I’m so proud to be a part of this! If you would like to join our family, please let me know and I will add you to our team. ( there are no registration fees) If you’d like to donate (every little bit makes a big difference) I would appreciate it so very much. A big thank you, from TEAM MONROE!!
