Bay Area Walk

Hello! We are San Jose State University's National Student Speech Language Hearing Association Chapter! Within our NSSLHA Chapter are Communicative Disorders and Sciences students, pursuing a career in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Throughout the CDS major, we have taken courses that teach us early identification signs of Autism and how it affects a person's speech and language development. With our new, profound and ever-growing knowledge on Autism, we want to become advocates for those with Autism and help in any way we can. That is why we would like you to join our team to help volunteer, walk the event, or even just spreading awareness of what Autism is! Anything you do will help out individuals who have Autism!

Join our team in raising funds to have a voice with legislators, to have access to the information and resources we need, to support research and medical discovery, and to help fund local services through the mission of Autism Speaks. Together, we can accomplish amazing things for people living with autism. Join the team and begin your fundraising journey today! Set your individual goal at $150 and you’ll be eligible for a Walk Tee Shirt – which, by the way, was purchased from a business that employs people with autism.
