Miami Walk

Accelerating Awareness about Autism

We walk for Jason, and for Connor, two much-loved sons of two much-loved colleagues at VS/Brooks Branding/Communications. They are separated by years but united on the autism spectrum.

Jason was diagnosed at age 2, in 1993. Today he is a caring, loving and happy young man who likes playing video games, movies and musical theater, including Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, Lion King and Miss Saigon. We walk for Jason because there aren’t enough programs and funds to help young adults like him work and learn and achieve their highest potential.

Connor, also diagnosed at the age of 2, is a smart little boy of almost 4 with a great sense of humor. He likes to run and stops for big hugs. He loves watching Mickey Mouse, laughs hysterically at all of Donald Duck’s mishaps and is obsessed with Toy Story. We walk for Connor in the hopes that he will excel in school and hopefully graduate, that he might play a sport he ends up liking, and maybe, someday, even meet someone with whom he can share a future.

We walk for Jason and Connor, for Barb and Marlene, and for the families of all those living with Autism.

Please Join our team and help us raise funds to have a voice with legislators, to have access to the information and resources we need, to support research and medical discovery, and to help fund local services through the mission of Autism Speaks.

Together, we can accomplish amazing things for people living with autism. Join the team and begin your fundraising journey today!
