Parking: Parking is available in the Sugar Land Town Square parking garages for free.

During the Race: Autism Speaks information table, t-shirt table, vendor tables and children’s activities will remain open during the race.

Post-Race Festivities: After the race, enjoy food and music.


Packet Pick-Up

Thursday, April 19th

Time: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Location: Fleet Feet Sports: 4502 Greenbriar Drive, Houston, TX 77005

Friday, April 20th 

Time: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Locations: Finish Line Sports: 13895 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478


Prohibited: For safety reasons, the following are not permitted in the 8k or 1k Fun Run: skates, bikes, motorized scooters, and pets (non-service animals). We ask that those who wish to participate in wheelchairs, strollers, and bike joggers to remain near the back of the 8k and 1k Kid’s Fun Run race.

Course: The 8k and 1k Fun Run goes through Sugar Land Town Square and the surrounding streets and neighborhoods with minimal grade hills. Water will be available at the start/finish line as well as two stops along the course. This course is certified.

Timing & Results: Provided by Domore Racing using disposable B-tag timing technology. Race results will be posted on the home page of the event website after the completion of the Houston 8k & 1k Fun Run.

Awards: Awards to top overall male/female winners.  Age Group Awards given in the following categories.  

  • Men/Women >14
  • Men/Women 15-19
  • Men/Women 20-29
  • Men/Women 30-39
  • Men/Women 40-49
  • Men/Women 50-59
  • Men/Women 60+

*Race times will be announced for overall winners at race site. Awards directly to follow completion of the Houston 8k & 1k Fun Run.

Fundraising: Every participant is encouraged to fundraise.  Fundraising is critical to continue to support the mission of Autism Speaks.

Photos: Race day photos will be posted to the Houston Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/AutismSpeaks.Houston/) after the race.

All participants can collect donations in advance and bring to the Houston 8k &1k Fun Run on April 21st.
