In honor of April being Autism Awareness month, what better reason to support a world of acceptance, inclusion, and compassion for those with different abilities!

It truly hit home for us when our youngest, Leo, was diagnosed this past year with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Along with that diagnosis came growth, peace, patience, and understanding. As he continues to grow and flourish, so do his interests, with human anatomy being one of his most recent passions.

Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disorder in the U.S. with 1 in 44 children and 1 in 45 adults on the autism spectrum today. An estimated 70,000 adolescents with autism transition to adulthood each year. Each of them has unique strengths and challenges.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autistic people; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
