2022 Kindness Campaign - Lead with Kindness
Amazon Global Engineering Services
Hey all! Welcome to GES's Kindness Campaign Page!
My name is Julia Reynolds, and I am part of Amazon's Global Engineering Services Configuration Team. I grew up on Long Island, NY, and now live in Nashville with my husband, Matt, and our son, Jameson. This year, I have reached out to Autism Speaks to see how we could give back and participate in April's Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month.
Growing up with a younger brother with Autism, now 26, has taught me a lot about patience and acceptance of all people. Throughout my childhood, my family, friends and I participated in the "Walk Far for N.A.A.R" Autism Walks at Jones Beach, on Long Island, NY. I remember making lanyard bracelets and selling them around the neighborhood to raise money for the cause.
As an adult with a family of my own, I am looking to get involved and continue to give back to this community, as well as spread awareness and acceptance to all. This upcoming October 2022, we will be looking to build a team to participate in the Nashville Autism Speaks Walk. More information to be shared as released.
This April 2022, Amazon will be supporting the Autism Speaks Kindness Campaign, with your help!
The Kindness Campaign celebrates and encourages acceptance, understanding and inclusion for all people with autism. The world is still reeling from the effects of the pandemic, and for people with autism and their families, COVID-19 has had an especially profound and widespread impact.
When you support my Kindness Campaign with a donation, we’ll be one step closer to a world where every person with Autism can reach their full potential.
For those that are members of Amazon's GES Organization, with every donation, you will be entered into an internal raffle for $100 Swag Bucks to the Gear Store, as well as raffles to win prizes donated by Autism Speaks.
For any other Amazon Orgs, Friends, Family and any other donors that contribute to the campaign, you will also be given the opportunity to win prizes provided by Autism Speaks.
I look forward to pushing forward this campaign, providing more information about the Autism Community, and seeing how much we can contribute this month.
Thank you!
Julia
