With April being Autism acceptance month i am here to raise awareness for those who have autism. I do this for my baby cousins, they were diagnosed about 6 months ago. I don't see them anymore but will continue to raise awareness for them since they were around all the time. A couple things about autism is that there are 5 different types. It affects communication and social skills. It isn't a disease, but a neurological disorder. I will do my best to continue to educate many people on it. I do this for Joziah and Alex.
Once they got diagnosed a lot changed for them. They went to daycare but got kicked out due to biting. They would get frustrated and couldn't speak so they would bite in order to show that frustration. They then had therapy they would attend regularly to get them to speak and out of the biting habit. They were then kicked out for the biting issue and the mother didn't know what else to do. With them not being in any class or specialized therapy their mother sent them with their grandmother in Ohio. She couldn't handle them with their special needs so sent them with someone else. We offered to take them but it was never brought back to us. They currently are living in Ohio and we don't know if they are getting the help they deserve up there. This helps me feel closer to them with them being so far away.
