Hey everyone,

I’m raising money for Autism Speaks, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families through advocacy, research, services, and awareness.

But for me, this vital mission is more than just a good cause – it’s deeply personal.

I have a twin brother, Jared, who is on the autism spectrum. Growing up side-by-side with Jared literally since day one has given me a front-row seat to both the beauty and the challenges that come with autism. Early on, it was difficult for me to connect with my brother the same way I saw my peers connect with their siblings. Over time, I have grown to never take for granted sharing a smile with Jared as he shows me a YouTube video or plays his new favorite video game.

As we’ve transitioned into adulthood, I’ve seen how hard he works to navigate a world that often isn’t designed with him in mind. This fundraiser is my way of standing beside him and everyone who faces the complexities of autism every day.

Autism Speaks has been a powerful voice and a resource for so many. Each year, the Autism Speaks Autism Response Team makes direct contact with tens of thousands of individuals looking for advice or guidance and more than one million people access their free nationwide autism services and resources. They continue to partner and support research to improve the lives of people with autism by investing in science that will allow more personalized treatments and therapies.
