Autism Spectrum Disorder is a diagnosis that impacts not only the child, but the entire family system. It is a life long condition impacting an individual in a variety of ways and to varying degrees. Each diagnosis is unique and may impact ones sensory sensitivity, social and communication abilities, daily living skills, etc.

Every year, Autism Speaks provides a space for families of diagnosed individuals to come together with others in the community to fundraise, inspire, and empower one another. Year around, Autism Speaks uses the funds raised to support research, community grants/scholarships, and many more programs and services to support the community. Each year, the Autism Speaks, Autism Response Team makes direct contact with tens of thousands of individuals looking for advice or guidance and more than one million people access their free nationwide autism services and resources. They continue to partner and support research to improve the lives of people with autism by investing in science that will allow more personalized treatments and therapies.
