When Tommy and I started the journey of getting Carter diagnosed over three years ago, it felt like a heavy weight to bear. As parents, we dream about the future we’ll share with our children—the adventures, the milestones, the everyday moments. But when autism entered our world, it shifted those dreams in ways we never imagined. The beautiful part is that those dreams are still alive—they’ve just taken on a different shape.
