Please join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks as I prepare to run the New York City Marathon (sponsored by Mastercard!) on Sunday November 3.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. Parenting a child with autism, especially in the early years, can be overwhelming and exhausting. It may seem impossible to access the information and resources needed to navigate the complexities of neurodiversity. It is incredibly isolating.

Our family is lucky that we are able to provide Hadley with education, therapy, hobbies and experiences that have enabled her to continue working toward her full potential. For those who do not have the privileges that we do, there is Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks provides access to resources, tools and support to help autistic individuals throughout their lifespan. I am honored to serve on the national board and appreciate anything my community can contribute to this cause that is so important to me.
