Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!

I am raising funds to support awareness that is important to me while accomplishing a personal goal of running in the NYC Marathon on November 3rd in honor of Wyatt Evans.

Wyatt Evans is my 9-year-old nephew. At the age of 3, he was diagnosed with Autism. As a member of his family, it was our job to gain the knowledge to create our own awareness and understanding on how to be the best support system for our little Wyatt. When Wyatt isn't at school or swimming at his Gaga and Poppy's, he loves fishing, climbing, horseback riding, trips to the zoo and so much more.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 1 in 54 children is on the autism spectrum.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span.

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
