This journey started in fall of 2023 when I started my MBA at MIT and met three people that changed my life - John Beckstead, Dominic Aloia, and MJ Jamieson. Over the course of our studies, we bonded over our love for fitness. It started with early morning jogs around the Charles River in Boston before class. During our many miles, we learned about each other's lives and families, including that John's son has autism. John was gracious enough to share how raising a child with autism has changed he and his family's life. 

As we wrap up our studies at MIT, we wanted to find a way to continue to strengthen our bond of friendship while supporting great causes and doing what we love - staying fit!

We've decided to run the Chicago Marathon as a team and support Autism Speaks.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. 

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
