Hello All and thank you for visiting my fund raising page for Autism. I will be running the Chicago Marathon in honor of those who suffer and deal with the affects of Autism. I am personally affected by this in many ways, including family members and those close to my family, so I deal with these concerns on a daily basis. My efforts to raise funds during this race for this great cause let me be part of the solution and something much bigger than me. I am grateful for the honor of doing this in an effort to improve the lives of those around me and for people moving forward who deal with these struggles and set backs.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span.

Any support you can give for this cause to help improves lives for today and the future is greatly appreciated.
