This exciting new event is a celebration of the light that shines in every person with autism and the community that supports them. The event brings together our community - of all ages - together for a day filled with activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the autism spectrum. It isn't just another event - it's a judgement free zone and a safe place for learning, support, empowerment, and raising funds.

Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!

I am raising funds to support awareness that is important to me while accomplishing a personal goal of running in the NYC Marathon on November 2nd in honor of Wyatt Evans.

Wyatt Evans is my 10-year-old son, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. As his mother, I am committed to continuously learning and growing in order to be the best possible support system for him. Outside of school, Wyatt loves fishing, running with his dog, Waylon, and spending time at Friendship Circle and with our family.

Wyatt is a loving and creative soul who enjoys drawing. He has far exceeded our expectations, making remarkable progress as he accomplishes each goal set before him.

Each year brings new challenges for Wyatt and our family, but we remain focused and dedicated to spreading awareness and understanding every step of the way.

Wyatt inspires me and our entire family to be better every day.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 1 in 54 children is on the autism spectrum.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span.

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
