This year, Jim and I are running BOTH the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and the 10K to raise money for Autism Speaks.  We’ll be doing this run as members of our very real and very sore running team: EPCOT Center for Orthopedic Recovery. The name is funny, but the cause is serious.

Autism affects 1 in 36 children in the U.S. It’s a spectrum that includes a wide range of strengths and challenges — and every individual’s journey is different. Autism Speaks works to support families, fund research, and promote inclusion and understanding.

This cause is personal to us. We’re running for the people in our lives who are on the spectrum, and for the many families navigating autism every day.

Your donation helps provide early screening tools, support services, and community programs that make a real difference. Whether you give because you know someone with autism, or just want to support a good cause, we’re grateful.

And if you see two people limping through Epcot in matching shirts, try not to laugh too hard.
