Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks and participate in the RunDisney Princess Race Weekend 2026!

Autism is something that is close to our hearts as our son, Jackson, was given an autism diagnosis this year. Along with autism, Jackson has ARFID (an eating disorder most easily described as extremely picky eating, but it goes far beyond that). Being a caregiver and parent to someone with autism is different than anything you could expect. There are extreme highs and low lows that humble you as a person and bring into perspective the important things in life.

In some cases, having an invisible disability can be more trying than one more easily seen. Awareness and understanding is key, and Autism Speaks has changed their story to work on advocacy for people on all levels of the autism spectrum.

I pledge to dedicate the next several months of my life to training both my body and mind to accomplish this goal, not just for myself but for my son who sees the best in all people regardless of who they are. "I love everyone". Jackson is truly a ray of sunshine in our lives and I hope everyone gets to love someone like him at one point in their lifetime.
