Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!

I'm running a 5k race to raise funds for Autism Speaks. My family is blessed with several members who are part of the autism community and the need for broader cultural understanding, advocacy in the schools and family support can't be overstated. 

The autistic community processes information in a beautifully different way. The more they are connected to and understood by the communities they live in the more they will be able to positively influence the way we all contribute to the whole.

Autism Speaks also works to advance research into the causes of autism, which is an area of interest to my nephew as he prepares himself for college and career. I'm excited about this particular aspect of this organization.
