Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!

I am raising funds to support a cause that is important to me and dear to my heart while accomplishing a personal goal. Gio is my reason. We have been on this autism journey since he was diagnosed at the age of 2 and what a journey it has been. I'm here to encourage people to educate themselves about autism, invite others to be more inclusive to those with special needs. I have always been open about sharing out autism story, our struggles, our highs and lows, and accomplishments. I hope by sharing our story, it will help others on their own autism journey.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. They have been a great resource to our family especially. 

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
