Team Taylor is in honor of my 14 year old daughter Taylor. She was diagnosed with Austin Spectrum Disorder at 2 years old. Most of the time her dad and I feel like we are walking blind through this journey and just trying to do the best we can for Taylor. Organizations like Autism Speaks provide information and access to resources that otherwise would be impossible to find. 

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. 

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.

Taylor is an incredible, smart, beautiful, and loving 14 year old girl that was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 2 years old. Taylor won’t be able to run the race, she says running “stresses her body to much”, but we would love to have you join Team Taylor and run for her.
