21 years ago, when our nephew Shant was first diagnosed with autism, we came together on July 4th as a community in the metro DC area to run and walk to support our loved ones on the spectrum. So many many families joined us. At the time, our race in Potomac was the very first race in the country to support autism research and awareness. 21years later, we've raised over $4.3 million to support research, advocacy, and resources. We've also raised tremendous awareness about the cause. Join me in my efforts to support our 21st annual July 4th Autism Speaks 5K. We just learned recently that MOCO will be giving us a permit to go in person and we will also have our virtual component nationwide like last year.
Whichever option you choose, or if you choose to donate to our team efforts, THANK YOU! On behalf of Autism Speaks, we are grateful for your contribution!
