Hi everyone! As an avid runner, and the father of a child with ASD (Asperger’s), I’ve combined my love of road racing with fundraising for an amazing cause once again this year. Last year, I decided to trip on my driveway just a few days before the Chicago Marathon breaking my 5th metatarsal. I spent 6 weeks in a boot, and after months of rehab am back running, albeit with a little bit of residual pain.
My goal for 2022 is to continue bringing awareness to the stigma associated with mental illness. My wife Stacey and I have 3 amazing children, Gabriel who will be 14 at the time of NY ‘22, Vivian who will be 11, and Benjamin who will be 10. We all live with the daily struggles that ASD can create within the household and outside of the home, but we also do our best to embrace the perspective on life it gives us daily.
Gabriel is a successful competitive horseback rider, a weather and aviation enthusiast, and is successful in many parts of school.
Nothing is perfect, but every life is a blessing. Thank you all for your continued support of our family, and for supporting the work of Autism Speaks!
