Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!

I am raising funds to support a cause that is important to me while accomplishing a personal goal. I am running for my sons Henry and Archie. Our sweet boys are both diagnosed with autism. We celebrate the milestones they have reached and celebrate just their awesomeness every day. They are both the sweetest kids and watching the way they thinks is truly amazing! Henry it still nonverbal but is able to communicate our wants and needs with an AAC device. Archie is learning how to talk verbally and it increases each day. It’s not always easy but we have an army to support Henry & Archie and can’t wait to see how much further they grow this next year! We are so incredibly lucky that we get to be these superhero’s parents!

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 1 in 54 children is on the autism spectrum.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. 

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
