I have combined my love for running and raising awareness for charity into one. This January, I will run a 1/2 Marathon at World Marathon Weekend in Walt Disney World, FL while fundraising for Autism Speaks!

If you don't know, Disney is my FAVORITE place to run races and I, Alexandra Ross am raising funds to support a cause that is important to me while accomplishing a personal goal (and hopefully a Personal Best Time).

My goal is to raise $5,000 and help raise awareness of this wonderful charity.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools, and information covering the life span.

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
