Join me in my efforts to support Autism Speaks!

I am raising funds to support a cause that is important to me while accomplishing a personal goal. My sister, Zoe, was diagnosed with autism at a very young age and has a beautiful young soul. Over the years, she has taught me so much about life but most importantly, how to not take things so seriously. Recently I have begun a new fitness journey where I have been running races of various lengths and I am excited to combine my fitness goals with a good cause for someone and something that means a lot to me.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. 

Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
