TCS New York City Marathon

Team Jess
Join us in our efforts to support Autism Speaks!
We are raising funds to support a cause that is very important to us while accomplishing a personal goal of running the NYC Marathon in November hoping to raise over $6,400.
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 1 in 54 children is on the autism spectrum.
Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span.
Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
Team Jess was started in 2009 after a 5k in Fairfield, CT. We were introduced by a mutual friend when Jess Mazzone decided she wanted to run her first marathon through Leukemia Lymphoma Society, an organization Jess McCormack was already apart of. Since then we have trained for a lot of half and full marathons together but have never run the SAME full marathon (yes 26.2 miles!). We have been friends through moves, weddings, career changes, pregnancies (2 kiddos each!), and now as we approach our 40th year we figured now is a perfect time and why not raise money for such a great cause the way we started over 13 years ago!
Thank you for helping us reach our goal. Your support is greatly appreciated!
