Today, over 70 million children and adults are affected by autism. Each of them, have unique strengths, challenges and potential. Autism Speaks will be there for them. You and I can be too.

This year I’m walking in the Autism Speaks Walk for someone very special to me—my 5-year-old son, August. His life has been beautifully shaped by the support and services created to help children on the autism spectrum thrive.

Because of these resources, August has been able to grow, learn, and experience the world in ways that fill our family with hope and joy. I’m walking to honor his journey, to celebrate his progress, and to help make sure other families have access to the same life-changing opportunities.
