Family and Friends, we will be walking for Autism Speaks in honor of every child who has been giving the gift of being who they are!
As some may know, Aydn is Autistic and was diagnosed in late 2022 after we began research and evaluations since he faced a speech regression after the age of 2.
This was around the summer of the pandemic, and a time that everyone’s worlds changed, including ours.
Fast forward through these last four years, we’ve adapted as any family would and his development has been a major priority. By making his world easier, getting him the support he needed, letting go of stigmas, learning about Autism and educating others- we’re grateful to live life to the fullest with the happiest, cutest and coolest Aydn we all know and love.
At age 6, he is thriving with a mix of speech, ABA and occupational therapy customized for his needs. He’s what they call high functioning, we call him incredible. It’s a long journey for us but we he amazing us every day with something new.
Honestly, as his parents, we’re lucky to learn how the brain works and have become amazed at neurology, as well as the specialists that work in this industry. Autism comes in all ages, different shapes and sizes and is represented uniquely in every single person.
Our goal is to make the world a little more understanding of what autism is and how love, compassion and constant teaching can make all the difference.
We’re walking with Aydn, join us in a team shirt on the day of of spread the word for us about autism, love and being kind to one another.
Thank you!
