This year, we are walking for our son, Benny.

In February of this year, Benny was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While the words were heavy, they did not change who he is — our sweet, strong, determined little boy. Benny sees the world in his own way. He works harder than most people will ever realize just to do things many take for granted — communicate, play, and connect with others.

Every small victory is monumental for him. Every new word, every shared smile, every new milestone feels like a celebration.

We are participating in the Empower Walk and 5K Run to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and support research and resources for families like ours. Autism is not rare. It touches millions of families, yet access to therapies, education, and support can still feel overwhelming and out of reach.

Benny has already shown us what resilience looks like. He is teaching us patience, advocacy, and a deeper kind of love than we ever knew existed.

We walk because:
Every child deserves access to the therapies that help them thrive.
Every family deserves support.
Every person with autism deserves understanding, dignity, and opportunity.
