Hi. The reason I walk every year is for my daughter. She was diagnosed with autism at the age of five but showing signs at an early age. We have a good days and we have her bad days, but she brings so much light into my world. She’s amazing and everything she does and she always tries her hardest. She has been through so much since she was young so many hospital stays and also heart surgery. She’s an amazing little girl, scratch that not little because now she is seven dealing with the emotional part is the hardest there’s no way to calm her. All you can do is sit there and let her know you are there for her. My biggest thing is when others don’t understand her even sometimes adults . But I do and her sisters love her and she has such a big support every year our team gets bigger and I hope this time it’s even bigger because the smile and the happiness that brings her that everyone she has behind her is a army and will be there no matter what, so I hope everyone can come out and support her like I do every day
In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!
