We would love and appreciate for you to join and or donate to this year's Autism walk with us! It will be our first of many walks in honor of our sweet boy Ezra. As his walk, is our walk.
Ezra was recently diagnosed with HF autism and echolalia earlier this year. As he continues to show us with his bravery and "I can do it too" mindset to keep learning and accomplishing obstacles- we know he's going to live the best life, despite having autism. Autism doesn't define him or anyone, it's just a small piece of them that helps us better understand them. It's their super power that lets them see things differently than a lot of us. Watching life through Ezra's eyes makes me feel so wholesome to know that in his world, his life is full of love, adventure, and so much fun! It has been with great honor learning about autism through him. To our little guy- you are such a blessing and the brightest star around! I can not wait to see everything you are going to accomplish and do.You truly make life so much fun and we are forever grateful you chose us to do this life thing with! You inspire us in so many ways, and hope that you know that your family will ALWAYS be right by your side. Big thanks to our village and all the continue support we get from everyone around us, our boy is truly so blessed and lucky!
Choosing our team name was fairly easy for us, because it's a saying that's stuck with us since the very beginning. "Different, NOT LESS" holds a lot of meaning behind it. Being a 1st time mom, to now being a mom with a boy with special powers- we get a lot of "looks" and questions when out playing. When explaining to children and their parents, it's easy to explain autism, but it's even better to share that though Ezra may be a bit different, he is NOT LESS than anyone. It hold lots of confidence and courage to the situation and in hopes sheds light to those parent who may not be able to understand.
Hope to see and walk with you in October! Truly appreciate any and all donations to helping reach our fundraising goal! We to continue learning more about autism, and shedding light to everyone in the community! Ezra has a lot to show and with every walk each year- you'll watch him blossom too! Always keep in mind, we have the power to enhance the lives of people with autism and make a meaningful difference. Thanks so much for your support!
