On November 2nd I walk to raise funds for the mission of Autism Speaks. 

I walk to support my baby through his journey, and all other babies who see the world just like him. I walk for his good days, and his bad days. I walk for his successes, and his failures. I walk for his rejection and for his acceptance. I walk for his ability to embrace his beautiful capabilities. I walk for his future and the future of all individuals who are just like him. 

I walk to support the mommies and daddies who battle the same battle I battle. I walk for the parents who are not strong enough to walk for themselves, or for their babies. 

I walk to support all members of the autism community - those affected, those related to someone with autism, those who have friends affected by autism. I walk to support those who work in this community - our educators, teachers, therapists, doctors and supporters. 

On November 2nd I will walk to spread knowledge, to spread awareness of neurodiversity, and to share the beauty of viewing this world from the perspective of another who is different than you.
