As many of you know, my son Bryson was diagnosed with autism at two years old. As a young first time mom I was scared, clueless, & angry. Since then, I've come to realize that he was born with a gift. Although Bryson is still nonverbal, he has made remarkable progress since then. He's incredibly smart, loving, and has a personality like no other.

Thanks to the organizations supported by Autism Speaks, Bryson is able to attend a mainstream school alongside children his age. When at one point we were unsure if that was going to be possible, now he receives exceptional care, encouragement, and support every day.

I am extremely grateful for his dedicated teachers, therapists, friends, family, and even kind strangers who have all played a role in his journey. I truly don't know where we would be without everybody's unwavering support.
