Walk For James
As always, I am proud to be Team Captain of the Walk for James Team at this year’s Autism Speaks Long Island Walk on October 10, 2021 at Jones Beach. This is our 15th year walking to raise funds for Autism Speaks. As you all know, the Walk for James team was created in the name of our nephew James, who will turn 30 years old this November!
Unfortunately, James has not been able to go back to his day program just yet due to the continuing spread of Covid 19. Being non-verbal, it would be just awful if James caught the virus and was unable to tell Jerry and Joy he didn’t feel well. So he is staying home for now and shredding papers, which is his latest pastime. He has been very busy!!
We Walk for James and support Autism Speaks as they continue to advocate for federal and state policies that will increase community living options for adults with autism. That initiative has always been our biggest concern as Jerry and Joy grow older. Autism Speaks has consistently pushed funding for many programs for the autism community. I am proud to be a part of this worthy cause and hope to raise money to help with these projects.
I am once again asking for your support. If you would like to join our Team and walk with us at Jones Beach on Oct 10th, please click the link below and join our Team. Otherwise, click on my personal link and make a donation today. We could not do this without the love and support of our family and friends and we are forever grateful!
Thank you so much!!
