I am participating in the Baltimore Walk, in FALL of 2024.
Troy was diagnosed with autism in February, and while most of our close family and friends we see frequently know, so many other people in our lives don't. While I didn't think it was important for people to know, as he gets older I don't want to feel like it's something I'm hiding or ashamed of. He is my baby and I love him more than anything. It is who he is, it is the life we live, and I feel like I should be open about it, and sometimes I'd like to share when exciting things happen and help raise awareness. I would love for you to support my team, Troy's Dream Team! Our team will be walking together , in person this year!
You can sign up to walk or run, virtually, or in person, or just show your support with a donation! Every dollar counts, and every step you take will help bring hope to over 70 million children and adults that are affected by autism. Each of them, have unique strengths, challenges and potential. Autism Speaks will be there for them. You and I can be too.
It's only through the dedicated support of people like us that Autism Speaks can continue their vital mission work. Each year, the Autism Speaks Autism Response Team makes direct contact with tens of thousands of individuals looking for advice or guidance and more than one million people access their free nationwide autism services and resources. They continue to partner and support research to improve the lives of people with autism by investing in science that will allow more personalized treatments and therapies. You can find out even more about where your fundraising dollars go at autismspeaks.org/our-work.
Please join me by donating to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we have the power to enhance the lives of people with autism and make a meaningful difference. Thanks so much for your support!
