Virginia Walk

ODU Betas for Team Harien

Hello! We are the Beta Psi Chapter of Omega Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated at Old Dominion University located in Norfolk Virginia. My name is Raena Gradford (Team Leader) and I wanted to fundraise for a cause that is very dear and near to my heart when I asked my sorority sisters to help me in raising funds to support autism awareness they were more than happy to particpate in something so much bigger than ourselves. My little brother Harien Gradford has Autism and since the day he was born he's been my best friend. Harien is 19 years old and currently attending Sante Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida studying zoology. Ever since my brother was little he has had a fascination with animals that grew into a passion and what he hopes to become his career field. Harien is energetic, compassionate, bright, funny and has plans to change the world by protecting endangered species across the world. He has been my biggest supporter and although he knows he has my support unconditionally I'd love to show him on a bigger scale by participating in this fundraiser/ walk but also by giving support to others who may not have the same support due to different circumstances. With the help of my chapter we hope to make a change and continue to spread awareness to autism acceptance.
