Help us reach our goal!

In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!

Royce's Story

Royce at the age of 7(he'll be 8 in August 2023), is the first born child to his parents Dan & Lindsey. He is the oldest of 3 children. His little brother's name is Ryker(age 5), and his little sister's name is Lennon(age 3).

Royce was born in August 2015 after a very long and hard 36 hours of active labor. There were no complications during delivery, and there were no concerns leading up to delivery. Mom & Dad were blessed with a happy and healthy baby boy, and were sent home a few days later with their new addition to the family.

During the newborn and infancy stage, Royce seemed to be developing appropriately. Around the age of 1, his parents started to notice certain things. With Royce being their first child, they weren't sure if those things were something to be concerned about or if they were normal for a child his age. The Pediatrician believed that he was developing on track and meeting milestones, so that was enough to put his parent's minds at ease.

Around the age of 2, Royce's brother was born. With a new child being around, Royce's parents noticed things the new baby did that Royce did not do.

As some time went on, his parents grew more concerned and knew deep down that their son was special.

Royce was diagnosed with Autism in 2021 at the age of 5.

Yes, Royce is Autistic BUT he is also kind, caring, smart, funny, creative, loving, honest and the list could go on and on.
His diagnosis does not define him, and he will continue to overcome every obstacle thrown his way!

Royce is currently enrolled in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and behavioral therapy.
He will also be receiving services at his new school later this year.
We(his family) will continue to advocate for him, and will always advocate for him to make sure that he has the best possible life that he deserves!

The Autism Speaks Baltimore Walk 2023 will be our first time attending a fundraising walk/Autism Speaks walk.
Our fundraising goal for Team Royce is $500.00!
If you can join our team, donate to our team or share this information any of those would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!
