Help us reach our goal!

In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!

As many of you are aware, Ethan and Evan were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within the last three years. Since their diagnosis, it has been a difficult journey to navigate regarding appropriate resources and services to assist them in maximizing their potential regarding verbal communication, social interactions and developing healthy coping mechanisms. However, with perseverance, dedication and a care team of specialists, we have been able to provide the boys with individualized support that have allowed them to progress and improve on their skill deficits.

As Ethan and Evan started kindergarten this year, they were initially met with challenges of how to best support their learning styles. However, with patience, compassion and understanding from their educational community, we have been able to provide the boys with a nurturing environment for success.

Both of the boys are amazing in their own right  and have so much to contribute to their community and hopefully with increased awareness, support and resources, other families will be able to navigate their own journey with more assistance and care.

Please join me by donating to Autism Speaks to help enhance the lives of people with autism and make a meaningful difference. Thanks so much for your support!
