Today, over 70 million children and adults are affected by autism. Each of them, have unique strengths, challenges and potential. Autism Speaks will be there for them. You and I can be too.

Weller is now EMPLOYED part time as a dishwasher at a local nursing home! He participated in a vocational training program called Project SEARCH and continues to be supported by fabulous armnd caring staff from a local ARC program, due to his intellectual disability! We are so iroud of him and are so grateful! 

Still, we know autism is a lifelong disorder with 1/3 of individuals also having an intellectual disability- this means many adults, including Weller, will need continued supports to live a fulfilling, healthy, and productive life. Autism Speaks continues to be a leader in advocating for continued research and funding to provide the supports he and his friends will need.
