Each year, my family and I walk for my son Justin who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 13 while he was in 8th grade. After receiving the results from his neuropsychological evaluation and learning of his autism diagnosis, we were scared, shocked and unsure of what the future would hold for our son. The one thing I can say is that I made it my number one priority to learn as much as I could about autism. When I heard of Autism Speaks back then, I was happy to learn about all of the different resources and tools that were available to parents, educators and individuals, including information on self-advocacy.
Autism Speaks continues to do research to help individuals with Autism get the care and support that they need and with your support, they can continue to do the amazing work that they do both locally and nationally.
Please join me by donating to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we have the power to enhance the lives of people with autism and make a meaningful difference. Thanks so much for your support!
