Walk Goal $650

Help us reach our goal!

In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!

As some of you may know, we received an autism diagnosis for Alex on March 31st. Definitely one of the hardest days of our lives. While Alex will always be perfect in my eyes, I constantly worry about the world being unkind to him. I look forward to the days when he finally says "I love you" and starts talking but in the meantime I will celebrate every milestone he reaches no matter how late it comes.

I have learned that I am the mother Alex needed and he is what we needed in our lives. I share all of this because Luis and I will be doing the Autism Walk this coming October. We hope to raise awareness and funds to give back to Autism Speaks. Please feel free to join our team, donate and/or take a minute to learn more about Autism.

Honestly, there's so much more I can say about our short journey but as I put this together, I realize I am not ready to do so. If you ever come across my little man, be patient, he is a sweet, loving and intelligent beautiful soul.
Lastly, I don’t know where I would be without my family and support system. Alex has a village around him that will make sure he’s okay. Thank you for the hugs, words of encouragement, shoulders to cry on and drinks when they were needed.

"Autism is a journey I never planned but I sure do love my tour guide”

I walk for Alex and for those who can't advocate for themselves or their loved ones. I walk to raise awareness and end the stigma around autism. You can find out even more about where your fundraising dollars go at Autism Speaks.

Please join me by donating to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we have the power to enhance the lives of people with autism and make a meaningful difference. Thanks so much for your support!
