Taking Steps for Autism – September 20
This isn’t just another walk… it’s a mission that’s close to my heart.
Every day through my job, I see just how much autism impacts families—and how often it’s misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or swept under the rug. In so many communities—not just Paterson—too many amazing kids are labeled as “problems” just because their unique needs aren’t recognized. They’re excluded, stigmatized, or left behind instead of receiving understanding and support.
But here’s the truth:
Autism isn’t a limitation—it’s a unique way of seeing the world.
An autism diagnosis isn’t the end, it’s the beginning of better support and opportunity.
With the right resources—specialized schools, extra help in classrooms, and extended educational support lasting until age 21—every child can reach their full potential.
What breaks my heart is how many parents everywhere feel overwhelmed, isolated, confused, and unsure where to turn. So many families don’t even know about the support that’s out there or realize that they are NOT alone.
That’s why I’m walking.
I’m walking for the kids who are labeled instead of understood.
I’m walking for parents still searching for answers and hope.
I’m walking so no family—wherever they live—has to face autism alone. Information, community, and compassion can change everything.
Every dollar I raise helps to break the stigma, fund crucial services, spread awareness, and reassure families: you ARE supported, you ARE seen, and you have a community walking with you.
Will you join me?
Donate if you can—every dollar makes a real difference.

Let’s build a world where every child has a fair chance and every family finds hope.
Thank you for stepping up and supporting a more accepting, informed world—one community at a time.
