Join Team Benny in Supporting a Great Cause!

I’m proud to be participating in the Autism Speaks Walk, a movement that helps fuel research, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism and their families.

This cause is close to my heart, in October 2023, my son Benjamin was diagnosed with autism. At the time, he was non-verbal — a reality that was incredibly difficult for our family to process. But thanks to countless hours of therapy, a beautiful milestone happened this past May: Ben said “Mama” for the very first time. It was something I never thought I’d hear, and it filled my heart with hope.

Ben is now thriving with ABA services and continues to make progress each day. Our family’s journey may look different from others, but it’s filled with love, resilience, and belief in a brighter future. Ben is also currently enrolled in a research study at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia), and I’ve created Team Benny to raise funds for ongoing research and support for the over 70 million people affected by autism worldwide.

Each of them, have unique strengths, challenges and potential. Autism Speaks will be there for them. You and I can be too. Every dollar makes a difference and brings us closer to a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential.

It’s only through the dedicated support of people like us that Autism Speaks can continue their vital mission work. Each year, the Autism Speaks Autism Response Team makes direct contact with tens of thousands of individuals looking for advice or guidance and more than one million people access their free nationwide autism services and resources.
