Hello Family and Friends . First and foremost, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being so supportive both physically and mentally. As you all know, A’mir was recently diagnosed as being Autistic. It was a struggle at first accepting the news and if I’m being honest with myself, I was thinking all the worse things possible. But having a support system that is so strong and solid, has truly helped me through my toughest times.
As I began to do more research on Autism and the support systems available, I came across Autism Speaks and it has introduced me to other families who are experiencing the same things as mine. I would love for my family and friends to help in contributing to the support and research that will help improve the quality of life and knowledge for other Autistic individuals and their families on the behalf of A’mirs World.
In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!
