My son Connor was diagnosed with Autism at 18 months old.  Since the day he was diagnosed I got on the phone and began the process of getting him services and educating myself on how to help him excel in life and meet his full potential. In my research I came across the Autism Speaks page and knew it was something i wanted us to be involved in. In 2019 we participated in our first walk and i couldnt be prouder of how much money our family and friends raised for a cause that we became so passionate about. And continued to do so in the following years. 

Autism speaks strives to better advocate for enhanced services, inclusion, resources and support for the autism community and create a stronger, nationwide footprint.   I truly believe as a Mom that the research done by Autism Speaks helps improve and fine tune the services that Connor receives every day still to this day at age 7.  And I couldn’t be more appreciative of the services he’s received and the therapist that have made such a lasting impact on our lives along the way.   

It’s only through the dedicated support of people like us that Autism Speaks can continue their vital mission work. Each year, the Autism Speaks Autism Response Team makes direct contact with tens of thousands of individuals looking for advice or guidance and more than one million people access their free nationwide autism services and resources.
