This cause is very personal to me. My nephew, who will be turning 7 in May, was diagnosed with autism when he was 3 years old. At the time, he was nonverbal. Through incredible support from programs at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the Dublin City Schools system, and most importantly the tireless advocacy of his mom, he has made amazing progress. Watching his growth has been one of the most meaningful experiences for our family.
Autism is also part of my life in another way. My husband is on the autism spectrum as well, which has given me an even deeper understanding of how different every individual’s journey can be. Because of this, I decided to participate in the Autism Speaks Empower Walk & 5K Run this year. My goal is to raise $250, but if we can go beyond that it would mean even more. The funds support research, resources, and programs that help individuals with autism and their families access the support they need. If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount makes a difference. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing this page or simply cheering us on is just as appreciated.
Thank you for supporting something that means so much to me and my family.
